The dog mange is actually a condition caused by small mites that go under the skin of your dog. These mites attack in huge numbers when they do it and they are very dangerous because they reproduce very fast. All veterinarians say that these mites have to be killed before they lead to the complete hair loss, which is unpleasant, inesthetic and unhealthy.
How can you discover the fact that your dog has mange? This is simple: the dog scratches more than usual, the dog licks more than usual and there are areas with thin hair and red skin. All these are signs of the fact that you are facing a dog mange situation, so when you realize that it is happening, take your dog to the veterinarian.

I have a beagle named Ferbie. I treat her like a baby. Every morning I give her a warm bath using a shampoo suitable for her. I do this not only for hygienic purposes but also to protect her from getting dog mites. Keeping your dogs clean is a big factor for their health. If you do not give them a bath daily or at least 4 times a week they might get flees and dog mites that maybe dangerous to them. At first you will not notice any problem but if you disregard such condition, this may cause your dog to get certain skin diseases like scabies or mange. If you see any signs like scratching too much, this may indicate that your dogs have flees or mites. The initial aid for this is to use anti flees soaps and shampoos. Powders are available too. But if the condition persists you better bring your dog to an animal doctor for proper treatments. So remember if you love your dogs, keep them and their house clean, because a healthy dog is mite free.
